whoa cool.i heard that pointing the lens directly at the sun spoil the lens. is it true?
i ask a pro, he says it is old wives' tale...
OH hallelujah for that! i'm gonna point my camera at the sun more now! i love doing that...hahaha
i think it won't spoil the lens, but the sensor inside.for the film camera, pointing towards the sun is not really a problem, because the shuttle is always close.but for digital, the sensor is constantly on, and long time pointing towards the sun will definitely degrade the sensitivity of the sensors.
according to pro he says will not spoil the camera at all..if spoil better..can buy D80 straight away

Jesus saved me from the fiery lakes of hell. Forgetting what lies behind, I'm now setting my heart on the prize. This race, I'll run to the end with Christ I can do all things. The journey continues...My goal is to know Jesus more.
